It’s looking highly likely that Arse al manager Mikel Arteta will be sticking out all his guns in his attempt to sign new players for the Gunners starting from the January winter transfer window, according to a lot of reports from various sources across Europe. Arsenal have by far been a much improved side this season and have faced stiff competition from only Pep Guardiola and Manchester City so far this campaign. Their immense increase in performance and results has seen them become one of the best teams in Europe currently based on current form.

A slender 1-0 win over their London rivals Chelsea saw them reclaim top spot in the Premier League table after City snatched a late win against Fulham thanks to a 95th-minute penalty which was slotted home by star striker Erling Haaland. Although a lot of people believe that Arsenal already have a squad robust enough to challenge for titles this season, Mikel Arteta has reiterated that he would still need to sign a couple of players to further strengthen their squad and he may continue the rebuild process as early as January when the transfer window opens for business activities.

One of the main targets the Gunners are currently putting on their list is Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans. Several reports from Spain (via Sport Witness) claim that even though Arsenal might be facing competition for the midfielder’s signature from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona, they are in pope position to acquire the services of the 25-year-old Belgium international midfield star. This is not the first time Arsenal have been linked to the player but its looking like the story is gathering a lot of pace right now and things may unfold in the coming weeks that could pave a way for the transfer to happen.
